The Halloween party is a combination of more or less ancient traditions and has its own version in many countries. In fact, the first to celebrate the festival of Halloween were the Celtic people, which made their primitive Halloween on the night of October 31st.
Last October 29th our school, SIL College, celebrated Halloween. It is tradition to prepare a dark tunnel full of traps and spooky decoration organized by the voluntary teachers and students. The students have many possibilities to contribute in this terrifying day. On one hand, they have the option to get into the tunnel disguised as monsters and scare the students of Primary and ESO as well. On the other hand, the pupils can enter to the underground passage as victims.
This day is specially prepared for the entertainment, diversion and the amusement of Primary students. However, a lot of young pupils don’t want to cross the gloomy and tenebrous passage.
This year, the ESO students prepared an English class for the Primary partners at Cambridge classes with Miss Codina and Teacher Ricard. We, third of ESO pupils; were divided into two groups, at English classes, so there were two groups per class. We think that is a very good thing for the children to learn English having fun.
In conclusion, Hallowen is a party that is active since 19th Century, and we are celebrating it year after year scaring people, learning English and having fun.
